Creative Upcycling

Embrace your creative side and make a positive impact on the environment by joining in our monthly upcycling activity! Connect with a vibrant community, learn new skills, and help reduce textile waste all while relaxing and having fun.
Whether you’ve attended an earlier group and want to continue your project or are completely new to Rag ragging and want to see what’s its about and meet some new people, just pop along and have a go. All material and tools are provided free of charge. In the afternoon,1pm-3pm, we will also be joined by a volunteer demonstrating simple sewing and clothing repair. If you have items in need of some TLC please feel free to bring them along and get advice on best way repair them.
When & Where:
• Every Second Tuesday of the Month – Next meeting Tue 14th May
• 10.30am- 12.30pm and 1.00pm – 3.00pm – No need to book, just pop in!
• Honesty Library, Level 2, Castle Quarter, Norwich. You’ll find us at the top of the spiral staircase near Boots, just two doors down from our clothing swap shop.
What’s Happening:
Our activities are for all skill levels, from experienced crafters to complete beginners. Each month, we focus on a different upcycling activity. Drop by any time, or come every month—it’s up to you!
Tue, May 14th – Rag Rugging: Learn how to transform old fabric into beautiful rugs.
Tue, June 11th – Noticeboards: Create unique, functional boards for notes, photos, and more.
Tues, July 9th – Snuffle Mats: Make a sensory mat for your pets while exploring your creativity.
