Dance Away Loneliness with Move to Thrive!
Feeling isolated or disconnected? Join Move to Thrive (MTT) for a vibrant online workshop that combines mindful movement with the infectious energy of Bollywood dance.
This workshop, offered during Loneliness Awareness Week, is a perfect opportunity to:
Connect with yourself and others through playful movement and joyful expression.
Explore the power of movement as a tool for stress relief and emotional release.
Discover the rich cultural traditions behind Bollywood dance in a fun and inclusive setting.
No prior dance experience is needed! Whether you’re a seasoned mover or a complete beginner, this workshop welcomes you with open arms.
Here’s what you can expect (60 minutes):
Welcome & Intention Setting: Learn how to set a personal intention and visualize it through movement.
Warm-up and Mindful Movement: Guided stretches and simple movements. We’ll focus on mindfulness, inviting you to be present in your body and observe your sensations as you loosen up and release tension.
What Does Loneliness Look Like?: Through guided prompts and movement exploration, we will visualize and express what loneliness feels like for us, in a safe and supportive environment.
Grooving to Bollywood Beats!: Embrace the rhythm, have fun, and let the music uplift your mood and ignite your energy.
Breathing and Cool Down: Focus on calming the body and mind with gentle breathing exercises.
Sharing and Reflections: Willing participants are free to share their experiences and the reflections from the session. Feedback is greatly appreciated to make these workshops more engaging and impactful for future.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll be guided by Aditi Kaushiva, the creator of Move to Thrive. Aditi brings a wealth of experience and a warm, welcoming energy to create a safe and supportive space for everyone.
